For the 2009 season the current C Class DTM generation was nine months in development, to enable the minutest details to be thoroughly revised. The basic concept was retained and AMG Mercedes concentrated primarily on aerodynamic aspects and the optimization of the engine under the removable bonnet, as shown in the model.
